Alpine racing…… It’s a great sport that pits the athlete against a mountain and their own confidence in their own abilities. Toss in spring skiing conditions and you get an amazing opportunity to capture an individual testing their own limitations.
During my career, I have photographed nearly every sport. I have always thought that team sports were the greatest. But even in team sports, it is one person who usually stands above. What would the Bulls have been without Michael Jordan? Every team has one individual who stands out. Ski racing takes so much mental energy. You have to count on yourself and your ability. Kudos to everyone who took on the challenge at Gore Mountain, NY, during the 2025 A Racer’s Edge Masters National Championships.
