There is nothing like a cowboy. Don’t believe the song. Mama’s have no say in whether their babies grow up to be cowboys. Every guy wants to be a cowboy. Not many of us get there. But here’s a chance to watch real cowboys on an amazing stage — The Goshen Stampede. And its just up the road in Connecticut.
The gates open Friday with a midway, vendors, petting zoo, Barrel racing and a Demolition Derby.
The Coutry 92.5 Stage brings performers each night with Travis Denning headlining Saturday night after the first day of Pro Rodeo competition. Saturday also features the Tri-State Truck Pull and a kid’s Rodeo.
Sunday’s final day brings the end of the PRCA Rodeo Competition Overflow as well as the Cowgirl Triathlon, Monster Truck Mania and Pro Quad Racers.

The all time crowd favorite is the “Boot Race,” another speed event. Each child takes off one shoe and throws it into the pile, which then gets mixed up and moved around some more. The first child to run the course, find, and put on his or her shoe wins. This event is great fun for all Kids and provides a great photo opportunity for parents.
HUGE FRIDAY NIGHT DEMOLITION DERBY on FRIDAY JUNE 9, 2023
For those of you unfamiliar with a demolition derby, here’s the deal: 6 to 10 specially prepared cars per heat, enter a clay bullpen measuring around 50′ by 100′. They close off the entrance, and for the next 20 minutes the drivers will smash into each other until only one is left running. Presented by Ron’s Automotive Center, there is $2,500 in Prize Money at stake.
