75-years of D-Day History

It’s been 75-years since the skies were filled with C-47s on their way to France to begin the D-Day invasion. Today, I went to the home base of the D-Day Squadron at Waterbury-Oxford Airport to meet Dave Hamilton, one of twenty C47 Pathfinder Pilots who left England at ten minutes after midnight, flying plane #14, leading the way to Normandy, dropping paratroopers the night before the invasion.
