Prepare for the Eclipse with Stan Honda

Astronomy photographer extraordinaire, Stan Honda, brings his expertise to two free events at Adorama Camera in Manhattan with "Night Sky Landscapes" on July 16, 2017, and "Solar Eclipse Photography" on August 6, 2017.

Experience the beauty of Night Sky Landscapes with Stan Honda on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 2pm to 4pm. Stan will show us why we need to preserve this diminishing resource. You’ll see striking images of the night sky and astronomical phenomena taken in the American southwest, around the world and even from New York City.

Stan will walk you through various techniques and camera settings necessary to get amazing DSLR/mirrorless camera photographs of the Milky Way, the moon, the stars, and other objects that populate the night sky. He’ll discuss how to plan shots using software, apps and analogue sky charts. A brief tutorial will be presented on how best to process these images on a computer so that your images will fill your viewers with the same sense of wonder that the starry sky does.
