Everytime I walk to the Gowanus Canal, I see something unique. It is amazing to me that this Superfund site can have such beauty in its dusgusting-ness.

Last night's visit after Winter Storm Jonas was no different. Walking across the Union Street bridge, the light cast across a snow covered pylon almost looked like a flower.

And when I found the ice flows in the Third Street basin behind Whole Foods, it made the night even more worthwhile.
