Rooftop Films' 2017 Summer Series, sponsored by SundanceTV, presents RAT FILM on Friday, June 2, 2017, at The Old American Can Factory in Gowanus.

Across walls, fences, and alleys, rats not only expose our boundaries of separation but make homes in them. Rat Film is a feature-length documentary that uses the rat—as well as the humans that love them, live with them, and kill them—to explore the history of Baltimore.

"There's never been a rat problem in Baltimore, it's always been a people problem".

Also on the bill is COLD VALLEY by Johannes Krell& Florian Fischer. “Cold Valley” describes the work processes in a strip mine where lime is mined and returned to nature in the form of forest liming. The plot constructs an absurd, but authentic cycle that hopes to counteract the irreversible consequences caused with the harvesting of raw materials, for instance. Something that starts in a descriptive way ends in a spherical alternative world that questions our ambivalent relationship to nature.

Today was Mikaela's day to shine during a dreary day at Killington. The weather really was opposite of the excitement as she competed for her third straight Killington Cup slalom podium.

It was Federica's day. After moving from the 6th starting position to a 2nd place first run finish, Brignone tore up the course in the second run to finish .49 ahead of Ragnhild Mowinckel of Norway.
