Local green-friendly businesses Brooklyn SolarWorks, Movers, Not Shakers and Halstead Real Estate team up with The Gate for a networking event bringing together like-minded businesses and individuals to kickstart the South Brooklyn Progressives at Park Slope’s original craft beer pub, The Gate, located at 321 5th Avenue on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 3pm to 7pm.

The very first Green-friendly happy hour networking event sponsored by The South Brooklyn Progressives will feature:

  • Brooklyn SolarWorks’ CEO TR Ludwig and several solar consultants will be on hand to discuss renewable energy options for Brooklyn homes and exhibit their award-winning solar canopy designed for flat rooftops
  • Movers, Not Shakers’ innovative and green-friendly moving containers will also be on display on the patio
  • Halstead Real Estate broker, Tyson Lewis and his sales team will be in attendance to discuss the evolving Brooklyn real estate marketplace, how it intersects with progressive and entrepreneurial businesses
  • Dogfish Head Brewery, one of the most green-friendly craft brewers in the country, is providing limited edition canned and draught craft beers for sale throughout the event

The event is intended to be an informational and networking opportunity for local residents who are interested in learning more about the benefits of solar energy, green-friendly moving services, and current real estate opportunities. Local business owners and community leaders are also cordially invited to attend and network with other like-minded individuals.

The South Brooklyn Progressives are an alliance of green-friendly and environmentally-conscious business owners who banded together as a way to make a positive local impact on an issue of global concern. The alliance was formed shortly after the US announced plans to pull out of The Paris Agreement.

The South Brooklyn Progressives hold monthly summit meetings to discuss local environmental issues, share mutually beneficial business opportunities, provide referrals for each other’s businesses and more.
