Macy's Fireworks return to the East River

Best of 2016 Photography from SBN

So what were our favorite photographs on our site this year? Take a look at our picks of the pics. They helped showcase a great year in South Brooklyn that saw the return of the Macy's Fireworks to the East River and the prime viewing areas around all the East River bridges. The Gowanus Canal continues to be a favorite of ours (and the real estate crowd as property values in Gowanus grew at an astronomical rate).

We went to the AUDI FIS World Cup at Killington and saw the best female skiers in the world in a showcase event. We attended the 50th birthday party for Star Trek at the Javits Center in Manhattan. We also attended the first gathering for the Museum of Science Fiction in Wshington, DC, that was introduced during an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum in Grand Army Plaza.

We added a new section of "Photography Reviews and Events" to our site to showcase the many trends taking place in photography across South Brooklyn and the world. Photography is still the most amazing art form out there. Yes, I know the painters and musicians and others will argue with me, but hey, I love it! South Brooklyn has some of the best events around. Don't miss Photoville! It is photography's love fest in Brookyn Bridge Park every September.
